GDF-2 Targeting Services

GDF-2 Targeting Services

Growth differentiation factor 2 (GDF2), also known as bone morphogenetic protein (BMP)-9, is a protein encoded by the GDF2 gene in humans. GDF2 belongs to the transforming growth factor beta superfamily. GDF2 functions to induce and maintain the ability of embryonic basal forebrain cholinergic neurons (BFCN) to respond to a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine; BFCN is important for the processes of learning, memory and attention. GDF2 is also important for BFCN maturation. GDF2 is one of the most potent BMPs for inducing in situ bone formation in vivo. BMP3 is a blocker of most BMPs and does not appear to affect GDF2. GDF2 induces differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into the osteoblast lineage. The Smad signaling pathway of GDF2 targets HEY1 to induce differentiation through upregulation. Enhanced expression of HEY1 increased cellular mineralization. RUNX2 is another factor up-regulated by GDF2. This factor is known to be critical for osteoblast differentiation. CD ComputaBio now offers professional GDF-2 targeting services to meet your research needs.

Our Services

GDF-2 Targeting Services1

  • Target Prediction Service
  • Our traditional methods for target prediction include methods based on orientation docking and methods based on molecular fingerprints to calculate similarity. The reverse docking technique relies on the crystal structure of the protein. However, due to the inaccuracy of the scoring function, the current prediction accuracy is low. Similarity methods based on molecular fingerprints are widely used due to their high computational speed.

  • Bioinformatics Services
  • CD ComputaBio has extensive knowledge and experience in bioinformatics services. We collaborate with many scientists from many biotech companies and research institutions. The bioinformatics services we provide include but are not limited to:

    • Bioinformatics Data Management Services
    • Bioinformatics Analysis of Metabolomics
    • Bioinformatics Analysis of Proteomics
  • Multiple Targeting Drug Design Services
  • Multi-targeted drugs can effectively modulate complex systems throughout the cell. Multi-target drugs can improve the efficacy and safety, act on multiple targets related to the disease, produce multiple pharmacological activities, obtain the desired diverse biological regulation functions, and reduce side effects. Our multi-target drug solution steps include first detecting cracks or voids on the protein surface, encoding the geometric and physicochemical properties of the voids. Comparisons are then made to find a set of targets with similar cavity properties. Ultimately, multi-target ligands can be designed based on a set of targets with similar cavity characteristics.

Our Capabilities

CD ComputaBio has successfully supported multiple target service programs. With deep scientific literacy and years of industry experience, our team brings increasingly deeper expertise and rich experience to our clients. We will complete your project on time and efficiently. We have professional after-sales service: to provide customers with efficient, fast and practical solutions. Please feel free to contact us for more details and our scientists will tailor the most reasonable plan for your project.

Our Statistical Analysis Strategies Targeting GDF-2

CD ComputaBio may use a variety of options to describe the customer's provision of statistical services. Our data analysis results can be fed back to you in frequency distribution tables, bar charts, histograms, frequency polygons and pie charts. Statistical analysis is widely used in science, from biology to social sciences. In addition to testing hypotheses, statistics can provide approximations for unknowns that are difficult or impossible to measure. Our services include but are not limited to:
